JOB DESCRIPTION.
Second Baptist School University-Model (SBSUM) is currently seeking a full-time ADMISSIONS ASSISTANT for the 2026–2027 school year.
- Position Title: Admissions Assistant
- Reports To: Director of Admissions
JOB SUMMARY.
The Admissions Assistant works in partnership with the Director of Admissions and SBSUM leadership team to cultivate meaningful relationships with prospective families and community partners while supporting enrollment growth across SBSUM campuses.
This role serves as a key administrative and hospitality resource for prospective families as they explore a University-Model education rooted in Christian classical principles. The Admissions Assistant helps communicate the distinctives of SBSUM by ensuring prospective families experience exceptional service, clear communication, and operational excellence throughout the admissions process.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, relational, and passionate about helping families understand the partnership between home and school that is central to the University-Model philosophy.
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES.
Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to the following:
Family Engagement and Hospitality
- Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for prospective families through phone, email, and in-person communication
- Build strong relationships with prospective families throughout the admissions process
- Communicate the mission, educational philosophy, and distinctives of SBSUM to prospective families
- Ensure a warm and hospitable experience for all campus visitors
Tours and Admissions Events
- Coordinate logistics for admissions tours, preview events, open houses, and enrollment events across SBSUM campuses
- Support the execution of prospective family events to ensure excellence in hospitality and communication
- Assist with campus visit coordination and follow-up communication
- Support family engagement opportunities that help prospective families better understand University-Model education
Admissions Process and Enrollment Support
- Manage application processing and admissions documentation
- Maintain accurate student records and application files
- Support enrollment contract processes and documentation
- Assist with withdrawals and enrollment transitions as needed
- Support the launch and close of each admissions season through administrative and system-related tasks
Community Outreach and Recruitment
- Coordinate visits with churches, homeschool communities, and feeder organizations
- Support outreach initiatives that strengthen awareness of SBSUM in the community
- Assist with promotional events and relationship-building opportunities that support enrollment growth
Administrative Support
- Assist with admissions reporting and enrollment tracking
- Support tuition communication processes in partnership with the business office
- Prepare admissions materials, promotional resources, and event supplies
- Maintain organized admissions records and systems
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the admissions team and school community

- Understand and communicate the value of Christian classical and University-Model education

Prior experience in admissions, customer service, event coordination, Christian education, homeschool partnerships, or knowledge of University-Model/classical education is considered a plus.
An advanced degree and prior knowledge of Second Baptist Church and Second Baptist School are considered a plus.
